The inspection points include Merak Banten Ferry Port, Sosoro Merak Executive Ferry Port, Indah Kiat Pier, and Nataru Post at Rest Area KM 57, West Java.

government had prepared to ensure the mobility of people and goods during the Nataru holiday. The preparation includes checking the fleet of land, sea, air, and rail transportation, as well as the completeness of the ferry transportation.

“We continue to coordinate intensively regarding the policies that will be issued, with various ministries and agencies, as well as related stakeholders,” said Budi Karya in a written statement on Tuesday (26/12/2023).

Inspector General Aan Suhanan conveyed that some locations had experienced traffic congestion. However, this situation can still be overcome and controlled by the National Police Traffic Corps.

“So far, we can still control the traffic situation,” said Aan Suhanan

Aan appealed to the public who travel in this moment to comply with the traffic rules for the safety and comfort of the homecomers.

“We also appeal to the public to follow the directions of our officers on the ground,” he added.

Rivan A. Purwantono emphasized that Jasa Raharja continues to coordinate with Kemenhub, Korlantas Polri, and related agencies to maximize the service to the public. He hoped that the public can obey the traffic rules to maintain safety.

“We do this activity partly to ensure the smoothness of the homecoming traffic flow of the public, and of course in an effort to prevent traffic accidents,” said Rivan.

With the smooth running of all activities related to the preparation of the homecoming traffic flow, it is expected that the public will comply with the traffic rules for the sake of safety. Hopefully, the Christmas and New Year homecoming trips can be safe and enjoyable for everyone.
