Serang Regent Asks BPR Serang to Improve Performance
New Director Appointed in Extraordinary Shareholders Meeting
Serang Regent Ratu Tatu Chasanah asked PT Bank Perekonomian Rakyat (BPR) Serang to improve its performance. She conveyed this after leading the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) of PT BPR Serang at the Serang Regent’s Hall on Wednesday (27/12/2023).
There were four points that were decided in the EGMS. One of them was appointing Dadi Suryadi as the President Director of PT BPR Serang for the period of 2023-2028. Dadi Suryadi previously served as the Compliance Director of PT BPR Serang. He was the only candidate who passed and met the requirements in the open bidding process or the open selection for the position of president director of PT BPR Serang.
Tatu said that the appointment of the president director of PT BPR Serang was based on the decree of the board of commissioners of OJK, Number Kep-26/ko.11/2023. In addition to appointing Dadi as the president director, they also determined other decisions, namely dismissing Dadi as the compliance director and asking for the immediate filling of the position.
According to Tatu, as an internal person, Dadi knew a lot of things related to BPR Serang. Therefore, she asked Dadi to improve the performance of PT BPR Serang. “I ask BPR to make improvements, to increase its performance even more,” she said.
Then, Tatu also asked PT BPR Serang to implement digitalization of services. Because in the current era, people are already accustomed to digitalization. “So that the service to customers can be faster and easier,” she explained.
Besides that, she also asked PT BPR Serang to increase its dividend. She said that PT BPR Serang had distributed a lot of its corporate social responsibility (CSR). “This must be continuously improved,” she said.
Meanwhile, the President Director of PT BPR Serang Dadi Suryadi said he was ready to carry out the mandate given by the Serang Regent. “In the future, information technology or IT can run to speed up the system and service of BPR. We will digitalize by adding the m-banking system,” he said.
Dadi said that currently there were more than 10 thousand customers of BPR Serang. They were not only from Serang Regency, but also from Cilegon City, Pandeglang Regency, and Lebak Regency.
Then, to increase the dividend, they planned to expand the service by trying to find customers in the Tangerang area. “Our customers are still mostly civil servants or ASN. Because the priority is ASN, but it does not rule out the possibility of MSMEs and the general public,” he concluded. (*/Red)
