Cilegon DPUPR Confirms Road Repairs Scheduled

FOCUS BANTEN NEWS - The Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (DPUPR) of Cilegon has assured the public that the numerous damaged roads will be addressed by the end of July 2024. This statement was made by the head of DPUPR Cilegon, Tb Dendi Rudiatna, during a discussion on the progress of road repairs in the city on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
"God willing, by the end of July, there will be measures (road repairs)," said Dendi.
Several damaged roads slated for repair include Jalan Kedaung in Tegal Bunder, Jalan Warnasari, and the road in front of the Cibeber Sub-district Office.
According to Dendi, these roads are a priority due to their poor condition.
"We are currently waiting for a supervisory consultant as regulations require supervision before construction. At present, we are proposing a review. Roads like Kedaung, Warnasari, and those in Cibeber are already programmed," explained Dendi.
Furthermore, Dendi elaborated that the Jalan Kedaung repairs would involve asphalting, with an estimated budget of IDR 5.3 billion, covering a length of 3.75 km and a varying width of 3.5 to 4.5 meters, including drainage improvements.
"The repair will involve asphalting as we need to adapt to the vehicle traffic in the area, ensuring the road specifications are adequate," he added.
For Jalan Akses Cibeber, Dendi mentioned that concrete paving would be done, along with the repair of culverts and drainage systems.
"The total budget for the repair is IDR 1.7 billion, with specifications including a length of 350 meters and a road width of 6 meters. Therefore, it's not just road repair but also the culverts that will be fixed," said Dendi.
As for Jalan Warnasari, an allocation of IDR 15 billion has been made for concrete paving.
"By the end of July, we will repair everything, including Jalan Warnasari, which has gone viral," he stated.
During the occasion, Dendi urged the public to be patient, as there are several processes that need to be followed to comply with the necessary stages.
"I hope the public can be patient and support us since there are many issues on the ground, including buildings encroaching on the road space," he concluded.
