Ensuring Reliable Electricity Supply for National Events: PLN UID Banten Commitment

FOKUS NEWS - PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Banten has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a reliable electricity supply in support of national events. One such initiative includes ensuring stable electrical infrastructure for the 2025 National Waste Awareness Day (HPSN) and the "Sembako Tukar Sampah" (Staple Food Exchange for Waste) event. This initiative, part of the Seruni Action for a Clean Nation campaign, took place at Alun-alun Teluk Naga, Tangerang Regency, Banten Province, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
Event Overview
The event was inaugurated by Sri Bahlil, representing Selvi Gibran Rakabuming, the Wife of the Vice President of Indonesia. It was also attended by Tri Tito Karnavian, the Chairperson of Solidaritas Perempuan untuk Indonesia (Seruni) Kabinet Merah Putih, along with other key officials. The primary objective of this event was to raise public awareness about environmental cleanliness.
Community Engagement and Educational Activities
Several activities were organized to engage the community, including:
Educational sessions on environmental cleanliness, particularly targeting elementary school students.
Energy-saving presentations, conducted through a collaboration between Biro KLIK – Humas EBTKE (KESDM) and the CLASP Team, to enhance public knowledge about energy efficiency.
Guidelines for schools on obtaining the Adiwiyata title, which encourages educational institutions to contribute actively to environmental sustainability.
PLN UID Banten's Strategic Measures
To support the smooth execution of the event, PLN UID Banten implemented several strategic measures to ensure the security and reliability of the electricity supply at the event venue.
Infrastructure and Preparedness
General Manager of PLN UID Banten, Moch. Andy Adchaminoerdin (Andy Acha), emphasized PLN's full preparedness in ensuring an uninterrupted power supply:
"We have conducted inspections and maintenance of the electrical network around the event venue to ensure a reliable power supply throughout the event. Additionally, our standby team is deployed to anticipate potential disturbances and maintain a stable electricity supply," stated Andy Acha.Technical Readiness and Backup Power
To prevent any disruptions, PLN UID Banten deployed:
Technical personnel on full standby duty.
Mobile Genset (1x100kVA) and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) (1x100kVA) as backup power sources.
