FWB Strengthens Cooperation with Dindikbud Banten

FOKUS NEWS
- On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, the Forum Warga Banten (FWB) held an audience with the Education and Culture Office (Dindikbud) of Banten Province. The meeting aimed to foster cooperation and strengthen ties. Herdi, head of the general subdivision, warmly welcomed the delegation.

Purpose of the Meeting

According to Herdi, collaboration with community forums like FWB acts as a "bridge to connect us with the public." He emphasized the importance of open communication and mutual support.

Toha, chairperson of FWB, highlighted the organization's commitment to relaying accurate information to the community. "With planned curriculum changes and adjustments to the BPBD admission system, misinformation could easily spread. We came here not only to maintain relations but also to hear directly from officials," said Toha.

Key Discussions

Curriculum and Zoning System

Herdi explained that zoning policies, or SPMB, are based on domicile, considering the number of schools and their student capacities. "We are designing regulations in line with government policy changes," he noted. Regarding curriculum updates, Herdi confirmed the adherence to national guidelines.

"We will monitor this process together to ensure transparency and effectiveness, maintaining the integrity of both public and private education under Governor Banten's Free Education Program," added Herdi.

FWB's Role in Social Control

FWB plays a crucial role in supporting government initiatives such as preventing illegal practices in schools, including unauthorized charges for extracurricular activities like study tours or graduation ceremonies. Herdi urged the forum members to assist in social control, stating, "Your involvement is vital to ensure the balance and effectiveness of government policies."
