FOKUS BANTEN - Indonesia’s Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) under the Attorney General’s Office has handed over a confiscated corruption asset to the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) to support institutional operations.

The asset consists of land and a building previously owned by convicted individual Arie Lestario Kusumadewa, located in South Jakarta, covering an area of 788 square meters.

The transfer was conducted after the asset underwent strict verification and physical inspection processes.

Verified and Ready for Use

Head of BPA, Kuntadi, confirmed that the asset is in good condition, complete, and ready for use.

“With the signing of the handover report today, all rights, obligations, and responsibilities for the management and maintenance of the asset are officially transferred to Jampidsus,” Kuntadi said in a statement on Tuesday (April 14, 2026).

The asset is now fully under Jampidsus management for institutional use.

To Serve as Housing for Special Task Force

Kuntadi stated that the property will be used as a residence facility for members of the Special Task Force for Handling and Resolving Corruption Cases (Satgassus P3TPK).

The facility will also support employees involved in corruption case handling from investigation to execution stages.

This utilization is expected to enhance the effectiveness of corruption case management.

Part of Asset Recovery Efforts

Kuntadi emphasized that the transfer reflects law enforcement efforts focused on asset recovery.

“In addition, this handover reflects Indonesia’s commitment to implementing UNCAC (United Nations Convention Against Corruption) through BPA, which plays a strategic role in tracing, securing, managing, and supporting the return of assets derived from criminal acts as part of strengthening the central authority for asset recovery,” he added.

Appreciation from Jampidsus

Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah, expressed appreciation to BPA for properly handling and transferring the asset.

He noted that the asset has now officially become state property and can be utilized optimally.

“I hope that the asset handed over today can be managed in an orderly, professional, and accountable manner so that it truly provides added value for the implementation of duties by personnel of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes,” Febrie concluded.
