Banten to Build Roads and Bridges Worth Over Rp 600 Billion in 2024
FOKUS NEWS - The Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (DPUPR) of Banten plans to build several roads and bridges that are currently damaged in 2024.
The agency has prepared a budget of more than Rp 600 billion for this project. This was revealed by the head of DPUPR Banten, Arlan Marzan.
“The budget is allocated to build roads and bridges in Lebak, Pandeglang and Tangerang districts,” said Arlan on Sunday, January 7, 2024.
Arlan said that the budget of over half a trillion came from the Banten regional budget (APBD) in 2024. There was also an additional budget from the special allocation fund (DAK) of Rp 7 billion.

He explained that the funds would be used to build roads that belonged to the districts but were taken over by the Banten province, such as Sumur-Ujung Jaya Road, Ciparay-Cikumpay Road, Baros-Petir Road, Cikande-Kopo Road, and Nyapah-Cilebu Road.
“For the bridges, there is one in Tangerang on Cokro Road. We will raise it, and then in Tegal village in Pandeglang, the condition is already severe so we intervene,” said Arlan.
He added that his agency had already started the auction process for some of the roads that would be built this year.
“That’s all for this year, then there are proposals to upgrade roads from the districts. But that’s not yet, we will evaluate it first,” he said.
Arlan hoped that the road construction could be carried out as soon as possible in early 2024. So that it could be completed before the end of the year.
“We will speed up the process, hopefully it can be implemented early this year,” he concluded.
