Banten Dekranasda Empowers Young Artisans to Preserve Cultural Heritage
FOKUS NEWS BANTEN INDONESIA - The Banten Provincial Dekranasda, led by Acting Chair Tine Al Muktabar, actively participated in the 2024 National Working Meeting of the Indonesian Craft Council. Held at the Vice President's Secretariat, the meeting focused on the theme of "Young Artisans Preserving the Nation's Cultural Heritage."
Tine Al Muktabar emphasized the importance of curating crafts and textiles, especially for young artisans. "Through curation, we can elevate artisans to the national level, increasing their products' competitiveness in the export market," she stated.

The meeting, under the guidance of Dekranas Central Chair Wury Ma'ruf Amin, highlighted the need to mentor and motivate young artisans. The goal is to encourage them to showcase their regions' unique cultural heritage, thereby boosting Indonesia's global competitiveness.
Babar Suharso, the Harian Chair of the Banten Provincial Dekranasda, expressed the organization's commitment to implementing the central Dekranas' programs. He emphasized the importance of sustainability, not only in terms of aligning programs but also in ensuring the continuity of craft and textile traditions in Banten.
