Banten Provincial Government Supports Broadcasting Neutrality to Maintain Regional Stability

BANTEN INDONESIA, FOKUS NEWS
- The Banten Provincial Government (Pemprov Banten) received a specific visit from Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the Governor's Pavilion, KP3B, Serang City. The visit aimed to evaluate the collaboration between broadcasting institutions, the regional government, and relevant stakeholders in monitoring the content and broadcasts during the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections (Pilkada) in Banten Province.

Komari, the Governor's Expert Staff for Government, Law, and Politics, welcomed the visit. He believes that the meeting will strengthen the quality of programs broadcast by media institutions in Banten.

"We have LPP TVRI, LPP RRI, and KPID as the supervising institutions. This visit is expected to enhance the synergy among us," Komari said.

Komari added that so far, the content of programs broadcast by media institutions in Banten has been quite good, including the development content conducted by the local government.

"In terms of regional stability, Banten Province has remained stable up to this point. This stability is certainly thanks to the role of the broadcasting institutions in the province," he added.

However, Komari emphasized the need for guidance and input from Commission I of the DPR RI for future improvements and evaluations.

"We definitely need advice to ensure that our efforts are in line with national goals," he stated.

The Chairman of Commission I of the DPR RI, Tb Hasanuddin, noted that many topics were discussed during the visit, including efforts to maintain the neutrality of all parties involved in supporting the smooth, peaceful, and safe implementation of the Pilkada in Banten.

"We encourage all our partners to remain neutral and promote peace among the community during the Pilkada," Hasanuddin said.

Hasanuddin hopes that the Pilkada in Banten will be a democratic celebration filled with joy and peace, producing leaders capable of advancing the people and their region.

"We hope that Banten will produce leaders who dedicate themselves to the well-being of the people and are capable of developing the region in all areas," he concluded.
